About Me:

What about me? I am a corporate drone who is checking into rehab!

I grew up in the Southern part of England, and moved to the US when I was 14. Although it's taken me almost 20 years to acclimate to the culture, I still have an accent. Because of my moving to the US at such a formative age, I can speak English, American, French and a little Italian.

I've spent the past 12 years as a Project Manager (and sometimes Account manager) in the thrilling and highly scientific world of Advertising, Marketing and Branding. Recently, however, I've realised that all I've been is a craftsman of shifting sands (what lies I've learned).

When I was 16, I learned the Transcendental Meditation technique that was introduced to the West my Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. From that point on, I've been pulling at the thread of the cosmic cardigan, only to find that the thread is infinite (sigh), but I have had some fabulous experiences along the way.

I went to Maharishi's University in Fairfield, Iowa, because I wanted to write. Actually, that's not true. I moved to New York City directly after high school. I didn't understand the mad dash to university - I thought it'd be the absolute last thing I would want to do, so I moved to New York to work for a woman as a “many” (male nanny), which lasted for about 4 months.

I got a job shortly after as a photographers assistant, and actually wound up working for a fashion house here in NYC. The real reason I wanted to go to Iowa and create coherence was to run, escape, and flee from the craziness that was the fashion industry. What I didn't realise at the time was that my decision to go and live in a corn filed was the single action that would be my destiny.

Whilst at “Guru U”, I learned about the Vedic texts, about Jyotish (Vedic astrology) and Ayurvedic Medicine.

To cut a long story short, I knew I would be an Ayurvedic Doctor when I was 22. I am finally doing something about it at 34!
